Tryst – Wynn Las vegas
High end socialites meet for a Tryst (affair).

Facts: Opened Dec 31, 2005
Managed by Drai’s
(Drai’s Afterhours @ Bourbon Street Hotel)

Overview: When Wynn Las Vegas opened in May 2005, La Bete (The Beast) was the main nightclub, opening alongside Lure ultra lounge. However, it turned out hotel management was in over their heads in the nightlife scene, so they recruited one of the city’s most popular and legendary clubs, DRAI’S to take over. After a multi-million dollar remodel and bringing in two of the hottest young nightlife gurus in the industry (Jesse Waits of Drai’s and twin brother Cy Waits of Tabu), the club  opened up to much accolades.

In the months since opening, Tryst has become one of the city’s “where to go” venues, attracting celebrities and high end clientele from across the country. Tryst understands that making it in Las Vegas involves the ability to attract both tourists and locals alike. Unlike many other clubs where there is definitely a VIP hierarchy, Tryst thrives on treating every customer with class and excellent service.

Cy coming to Tryst reunited him with twin brother Jesse, who has been Victor Drai’s right hand man for years. Cy and Jesse previously came into the Vegas nightclub scene many years ago at House of Blues. As part of the transition to Tryst, Cy brought some of the impeccable staff over from Tabu including Eric White, Jason Pollack, and the beautiful sweetheart of a bartender Michele (pictured).

VE! Review: Tryst takes the look and feel of Drai's and brings it up a level. In some areas of the club, you actually think you are at Drai's (especially after a few). All you have to do though is look around once and realize this isn't your underground restaurant converted anymore. The dance floor is just the right size and the view of the outside patio and waterfall is breathtaking. Tryst does a fabulous job of blending underground with lounge. The music, vibe and energy reflect Drai's well, especially on Thursdays during their industry night. Tryst's paid attention to the new trends in Vegas as well,  creating areas that you can relax in an ultra-lounge setting. Standing near the water fall in the open air patio looking back towards the club is the epitome of this fusion.

Finally, the service at Tryst is epic, which puts them over the top. From their management team of Cy and Jesse to the best bartender in Vegas (Michelle) to the door personnel, everyone is courteous and welcoming, which can be as refreshing as the waterfall. Of course, a venue in Wynn Las Vegas has to know something about service or you know they will get a call from Steve (Wynn, that is).
